Who We Are
Here at Hand Up Malawi, we know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little support. We are UK registered Charity, founded in 2021 [Charity no. 1196912]. Our goal is to support early years education, poverty relief and health and wellbeing to children in Monkey Bay, Malawi.
Our Story
In 2013 our founder, Chloe, met teachers, Edith and Chimwemwe at their preschool on a trip to Malawi.  Since then, they have nurtured their connection from opposite ends of the world, and worked together to provide education and nutrition to children attending Balmanja preschool. In 2021, Hand Up Malawi was established, on the foundations of this project.
Our Vision
From the tiniest acorn grows the mighty oak. Our work starts with a small preschool in Mbalamanja Village of Monkey Bay, Malawi. As we grow as Hand Up Malawi, we aim to spread our impact to improve education, health and wellbeing for many more children throughout the local area.
